Vision & Values
What we are aiming to achieve
At Brockhurst Primary School we value Learning & Growing Together through:
ensuring the statutory UNICEF Convention of the Rights of the Child are met.
Providing an education that includes and prepares each child for their next stage of learning by providing the best possible quality of teaching and learning.
The voice and opinion of everyone in school is heard and the wider community, through mutual respect.
Children fulfilling their ever-growing potential by responsibly growing the 4 Rs:
Reciprocal (buddy, buddy, buddy);
Resourceful (get, get, get);
Resilience (try, try, try);
Reflective (check, check, change)
A growth mindset towards ourselves and others, learning from our mistakes - to become the best we can be - as an individual, spiritually, physically, socially, emotionally and academically.
The love, care and nurture of every child, embracing their diversity.
Our mission is to make sure that our values are visible for each child in their Brockhurst experience
providing an exciting, safe, supportive and secure environment for children to learn and grow
growing a skillful team by sharing best practice to ensure consistent Quality First Teaching
provide children with adventurous, challenging, rewarding, meaningful and playful learning alone and alongside each other
modelling and teaching the 4Rs (reflective, resilience, resourceful, reciprocal) and PATHs (promoting alternative thinking strategies)
be fair, mindful and consistent in everything we do
being flexible to respect and meet the needs of everyone
encouraging confidence and building self-esteem
really listening and having good communication throughout our community
working as a team with a positive, growth mindset and ambitious and realistic expectations
creating fun experiences and happy memories
providing opportunities and support to be the best version of ourselves
Our vision is to continually grow as a Rights Respecting school, working within the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). We will help our children to develop in two key ways:
as global citizens who challenge injustice and show empathy and solidarity for their fellow human beings.
Academically, to ensure every child meets and exceeds Age Related Expectations in all subjects to give them every opportunity to succeed in the next stage of their education,
… Because the child is at the centre of all we think and do.
