11.11.19 Today we attended the Film Festival to see How toTrain Your Dragon: The Hidden World. We had a fantastic time and we are looking forward to doing some follow up learning about what we have seen.
8.11.19 Today we started thinking about adaptations seen in the film 'How to train your dragon: The Hidden World'. We learnt about the adaptation of bioluminescence. Ask your child if they can remember what it means and why some living things do this.
6.11.19 Today we worked with Miss Serridge. We began to learn skills for tag rugby. Phoenix class were all really reciprocal and enthusiastic!
24.10.19 In Spanish today, we learnt about the Mexican festival, The Day of the Dead. As part of this learning, we created our own masks.
Well done to all of these children who are fluent in their times tables. They have completed the 5 minute frenzy this term!

18.10.19 Ice Trap: We have finished our learning based on Ice Trap and these are our final pieces of writing. We were writing diaries as if we were on board Shackleton's Endurance. We have tried to include feelings and precise language to make our writing realistic.
9.10.19 Art: Today we were inspired by Nancy's writing about the Antarctica to create pastel sketches of the Northern Lights.
7.10.19 Science: Today we learnt how light travels in straight lines. We used our understanding to make a periscope.
18.9.19 Today we enjoyed refining our basketball skills in the sunshine!
17.9.18 During PATHS we completed a compliments web: we passed the string and complemented one another.
16.9.19 Today we investigated what happens to shadows over a day. We used torches to model our thinking.
