This week we went to Elson Library and got absolutely soaked walking down in the rain! When we arrived, we listened to Sara, the librarian, read some really funny stories about the Stone Age including 'Game of Stones'. After that, some of us read stories and some of us learnt some new vocabulary on the Stone Age word searches. We had a great time.
Don't forget if you have a library card you can bring it along on our next visit in November and take out books

This week we completed some more learning on our Stone Age topic. We thought about the skills you would need to survive in the Stone Age. Then we went outside and tried some of them, such as building a shelter and foraging for food. Afterwards, we realised how difficult it would have been to survive, because there were limited resources and other people kept taking them!
In English we are learning about dragons. Next week we will be writing a description of our own dragon, so we have been looking at different ways to describe. To help us to understand prepositions, we went outside and worked in pairs to act out the different prepositions, such as 'under' and 'amongst'.
Can you spot which prepositions we are using in the photos below?
Well done to Luke, Lewis and Riley who passed their 10 times table today, and to Jamie who passed his 2 times table today
