I joined the governance team in December 2016 at an exciting time for Brockhurst as we had
just become a Primary School. I have really enjoyed my time in the role so far, learning more
about the school, primary education and understanding the huge amounts of work that goes on behind the scenes. I believe that the school has a lot to offer, both to the local community and the children within it, and I am keen to help it reach its full potential.
In my day job, as a Learning and Development Adviser at the University of Portsmouth, I have an insight into a different stage of the educational journey and I hope to be able to transfer some of that knowledge and experience into this role. In addition, as a mum to two girls - one in Year 5 at Brockhurst and one still causing trouble at home - I also have a personal interest in assisting the school to be the very best it can be. I hope to be able to add value as a member of the Board.
