13.02.19 This half term, we have been practising our fluency in knowing equivalent fractions, decimals and percentages. Well done to Alfie, Charley, Charlie, Charlotte, Chloe, Grace A, Courtney, Harvie, Mia, Spencer and William- all of these children are now able to easily recall the equivalent fractions, decimals and percentages they have been learning. If your child is yet to learn them all, please encourage them to do so during half term.

14.12.18 Well done to these people for their amazing times tables fluency- look how quickly they recently completed their 5 minute frenzy grids! Next to their names, you can see how long they had left from the 5 minutes they were given.
5.12.18: Today Peacocks class were complimented on their respectful behaviour and good scientific questioning at Search Museum. We found out about Darwin's theory of evolution by completing a variety of activities. Ask your child to explain what is happening in these photos
21.11.18 Today we had some fun making made lanterns. Asda, in conjunction with the Gosportarian, kindly donated the resources to us. The children may wish to take the lanterns to the Gosport Lantern parade on Saturday in Gosport.
31.10.18 This week in maths, we have been learning about how to scale relative quantities of ingredients. To prove that we had understood our learning, we made some Halloween cupcakes. To do this, we had to work in groups to calculate the quantities we needed to make 6 cakes.
29.10.18 This half term, our fluency focus is finding common factors of numbers. Today Charlie did a great job of applying his knowledge in his maths lesson!
19.10.18 Huge congratulations to Grace, who won 3 gold and one silver medal in her second gymnastics competition. Great effort, Grace!
18.10.18 In outdoor learning this week, we were looking at the differences in the leaves we found on different trees around the school site and how this demonstrated variation between species.
12.10.18 Well done to Mia, who managed to generate 25 related number facts in fluency practice today! Wow!
09.10.18 In science today, we made periscopes using two mirrors to help Ernest Shackleton to see out of the ice cave that he had become trapped inside. We used our knowledge that light travels in straight lines to draw a diagram to show how they worked.
08.10.18 As part of our maths fluency this half term, we have been practising applying known mulipltication facts to other calculations. Look at these fantastic examples from Kaci-Daisy and Spencer's books- great learning!
04.10.18 In outdoor learning today, we had a go at making our own crowns as part of our monarchs history topic. We used leaves which we had collected and linked them together using their stems.
27.9.18 During outdoor learning today we learnt about refraction, reflection and shadows. Ask your child about it. Can they remember what was happening in each of these activities?
20.09.18 Today we took part in some really fun outdoor learning with Mrs. Hoskins. We did a variety of activities to demonstrate forces and talked about how and why different forces were acting in each case.
19.09.18 This afternoon we looked at the artwork of Keith Haring. We have begun to mimic his style and we will be creating our own finished artwork next week.
